Rock Star

My mom introduced Kendall to the wonderful world of Justice. Kendall was a little girl in total heaven. Anything that sparkled, glimmered, or had faux fur were favorites of hers. She finally settled on this shirt, that she thought was for rock stars. We won't be shopping there too often, because the clothes are way overpriced and seem pretty cheaply made.

Tee-Ball

 This tee-ball leagued seemed never ending because of many cancelesations due to hot weather. So, I have to say, I was very happy when the end was finally here! The kids each got a trophy during a reward ceremony. They had different trophy's for the boys and the girls, which Kendall loved.

After the ceremony the kids got to have a big water fight with their coaches. They had a total blast, adn were soaking wet at the end of it. It was a fun way to end the tee-ball season. I asked the kids what they wanted to do next. Caleb wants to play soccer. I asked Kendall if she is interested, and she said no becasue all you do in soccer is run and run, so dance and possibly gymnastics it is!

Life Jackets Really Do Float!

 Kendall finally believed me that life jackets float and it opened a whole new world of swimming for her. She was paddling all over the water, chasing after me. If Caleb came within arms reach of her, she would shriek like he was trying to drown her. Sisterly love!

 When it was time to go, Kendall told me that we couldn't, because she hadn't gone off the diving board yet. I have to say that I was totally shocked! This is a girl who didn't get out of the baby section last year, and this year spent the majority of the summer clinging to me, if I forced her into the deep end, for dear life and now she was telling me she needed to go off the diving board.

 And jump off she did. Well...jump might be a strong word. She kind of barely walked off the diving board. I was in fact nervous that she was going to his her head, because she didn't jump at all. Luckily all was well, and she paddled to the ladder. She then went off about 10 more times.

 I was so proud of her! She was also very proud of herself, and felt like such a big girl standing in a line with kids who were much older than her.

She looked so nervous each time she went off, but she did it! Hopefully being able to swim for real will happen next year.

Caroline's Hair

 Kendall has decided that she loves how Caroline's hair looks, and now requests pretty much daily to have her hair this way.

Here is a picture of the girls and Caleb at Colonial. And of course, they have matching hair styles. I think it is funny that my (then) almost 5 year old, was copying a hair style from a 2 year old. It is cute on both of them though!

Karate

 Caleb and Christopher continue to take Karate class with Sensei Renner. Caleb really loves it and is showing some good improvements. He needs to work on his balance at this point.

I think it is hilarious that Caleb always takes the biggest steps when doing the kata to be first in line, because in his 6 year old brain first is best. He almost has his kata down!

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Violet and Elie's 3rd birthday. I can't believe the twins are 3! Caleb and Kendall took this photo together in one of the games. I can't believe that they did this on their own for me, and how cute it turned out.

Cosley Zoo

 

 We headed out with the Mustard's for a trip to Cosley Zoo. The kids had a great time, but I was a bit disappointed because about 1/2 of the zoo was closed due to construction, yet we still had to pay normal price to get in with no warnings about that. Kind of ridiculous!

 The kids had fun playing in the sand box. Everyone was digging around and making holes in the sand.

 Caleb dressed for the occasion with a cammo vest of Christopher and a compass. He was disappointed that he didn't have binoculars. Hilarious!

I was happy to get all 5 kids round up in the same spot at the same time. That never happens!
